Fungal nail infections can mimic many other nail conditions, so establishing whether you actually have a fungal nail infection, can help your podiatrist to develop the most effective management plan.

Fungal Nail Treatment
Fungal nails can be embarrassing and problematic to treat. They develop slowly over time causing the nails to become thick, yellow and brittle.
Hundreds of over the counter preparations are available promising fungal nail eradication, but not all are equal in their efficacy.
During this appointment your Foot Centric podiatrist will expertly create a series of tiny holes in the affected nails to allow penetration of antifungal medicaments. You will be required to continue with application of the advised antifungal therapy at home.
PLEASE NOTE– Prior to undergoing the LACUNA treatment it is advisable that you have your nails tested for the presence of a fungal infection . Our 97% accurate fungal testing service can be carried out in clinic for £60.
You will also be required to book in for an initial podiatry / chiropody appointment to check your suitability for the LACUNA procedure.
